MISSION STATEMENT

Minority Americans in Engineering & Science National Magazine

After nine successful years in publishing the MAES National Magazine, the GVR Public Relations Agency, Inc., is broadening the magazine’s scope to include all minorities in Engineering and Science. In the past, the magazines primary focus was Mexican Americans in Engineering and Science and thus the origin of the magazines name. The magazine will now include Women, Hispanics, African, Asian, and Native Americans and the acronym will now stand for Minority Americans in Engineering and Science.

The MAES National Magazine will promote workforce diversity and recruitment in Engineering and Science. The new scope of the magazine will allow its staff to focus on all minority professionals and students. It will include Corporate America, Government, the Military, and Academia. Additionally, the magazine will work with Diversity Managers, Recruiters and EEO staff to recognize their efforts, while it will also identify outstanding employees and employee associations that promote opportunities for minority Americans.

In addition to recognizing workforce diversity in the Federal Government and Corporate America, the magazine will present professional and student profiles on outstanding minority Americans and their accomplishments in engineering and science.
