Tenure-track Faculty Position


The Department of Aerospace Engineering at The University of Michigan invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in an area of aerospace engineering that is complementary to the principal research interests pursued in the department. Applicants must have extensive experience with disciplines relating to aerospace engineering. The Department presently has 26 full time faculty members. Both its undergraduate and graduate programs are highly ranked nationally. Research interests of the faculty cover a broad spectrum of aerospace engineering including gas dynamics, propulsion, structural mechanics, aeroelasticity and flight dynamics and control. Applicants should have an earned doctoral degree in aerospace engineering or a closely related field. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in all aspects of the department’s mission, including the development of a strong and relevant externally funded research program, the teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses and the supervision of graduate students. Appointments at all ranks will be considered.
